The Christophers is a sharp-witted dark comedy-drama following the estranged, greedy adult children of aging 1960s pop-art icon Julian Sklar (Ian McKellen). Fearing their father will die before finishing his fabled, long-abandoned series of canvases—leaving their inheritance worthless—the siblings secretly hire a struggling art forger, Lori (Michaela Coel), to infiltrate his studio and secretly complete the masterpieces. However, a profound and unexpected artistic bond quickly forms between the cantankerous painter and the young forger, turning the children’s deceptive scheme completely upside down in a clever exploration of legacy, authenticity, and greed.
